The record contains information on litterfall data from four 1-hectare plots from the Great Western Woodlands site collected in 2014. Data on total litter weights from fifteen litter traps in each of four 1-ha study plots and crown canopy cover percent is provided.

Lineage
Litter traps: Fifteen traps were placed directly beneath tree canopies in each of four plots. Litter from all traps at each site was collected in bulk from each site, oven dried (70 °C) and weighed. To obtain rates of litterfall per unit ground area:
Sampling Extent and Description: The sampling began in December 2013. Fifteen traps were placed directly beneath tree canopies in each of four plots. Litter from all traps at each site was collected in bulk from each site, oven dried (70 °C) and weighed, at approximately three month intervals.
- The litter mass was divided by the total surface area of all traps (15 * 0.25 m2= 3.75 m2) then multiplied by crown cover (the fraction of ground area cover by the vertical projection of tree crowns, assuming the crown to be solid).
- The litter mass per unit ground area was divided by the time since last sampling.
