Description

This data contains leaf area index calculated from Digital Hemispheric Photography images taken at the core 1-ha plot within the Robson Creek Rainforest site in 2014.

Purpose
Leaf area index is the preferred measure of cover for vegetation and is a key variable used in total biomass estimation and in carbon cycling prediction models.

Lineage
Digital hemispheric photography images were taken at the core 1-ha plot in the Robson Creek Rainforest site in 2014. Spatial description
The Robson Creek 25-ha rainforest site is located in the Danbulla National Park within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area in the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland.
