Soil collection and analysis of chemical and physical attributes was carried out at the Whroo Dry Eucalypt site to provide contextual data for the Biomes of Australian Soil Environments (BASE) soil microbial diversity project.

Spatial Description
Whroo Dry Eucalypt site is 45 km south-west of Shepparton, Victoria. Vegetation on the site is classified as box woodland, dominated by two main Eucalypt species (Eucalyptus microcarpa (Grey Box) and Eucalyptus leucoxylon (Yellow Gum).
