Purpose
The data collected formed part of a larger study examining the carbon and nitrogen dynamics of the peri-urban forest system.
Lineage
Sampling method: Five, 0.1-0.25 m2 litter traps were deployed across 2 x 2 ha areas of dry sclerophyll forest at the Samford Ecological Research Station, near Samford, Queensland. Litter was collected at roughly monthly intervals and dried at 65°C for 72 hours. Samples were then weighed, ground and analyzed for total carbon and total nitrogen content.
