Lineage
The collection of physico-chemical characteristics of soil from the Alice Mulga site was conducted in 2013. Soil samples were collected using a slide hammer (AMS Soil Core Sampler, Envco: The Environmental Collective, Auckland, New Zealand) to extract intact cores (38 mm diameter x 10 cm depth to a total depth of 1.4 m) for laboratory analysis. Soil samples were dried in a 105Ë C oven for 48 h then sub-sampled and placed in a 370Ë C oven for another 48 h to burn off organic matter.
