This dataset lists the parameters associated with Climate from Rangeland sites across Australia described by the TERN Surveillance Monitoring team, using standardised AusPlots methodologies.
For each site, the climate parameters such as climatic condition, temperature (min, max and annual mean), solar radiation and precipitation (annual mean) were studied following the AusPlots Plot and Physical Description protocol and becomes an important part of understanding the site climate in the AusPlots Rangelands.

Credit
We at TERN acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians throughout Australia, New Zealand and all nations. We honour their profound connections to land, water, biodiversity and culture and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. Datasets funded by TERN include the following statement “This work was jointly funded by the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network (TERN), an Australian Government National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) project.

Purpose
Collation of data on climate from Australian Rangelands sites will provide significant background information to gain an appreciation of the plot climatic history and for understanding its likely influence on the soils, vegetation and fauna.
